Nicholas Van Eyck

For over 14 years, Nick was a martial arts and movement instructor. Partner dancing and salsa were a natural progression. For the past 8 years, Nick has been teaching Salsa and in particular, Cuban style Salsa, bringing to it his existing concepts of connection, balance, and fluidity. Nick combines decades of Cuban tradition with modern movement concepts of space, timing, and flow. Presently, he teaches club-style Salsa, Rueda de Casino, cha cha cha, son, and several martial arts. Nick has trained and taught all over the U.S., including extended periods in Miami, New York, and Texas. He has also taught in Hawaii, and all over California. He has taught at numerous Salsa Congresses, Festivals and Cruises and is the co-star of "The Quick And Dirty Guide To Salsa vol. 4".

Serena Wong

Serena has been dancing professionally since 2000. She has been trained in many styles of dance including ballet, tap, and jazz. Most recently she feel in love with salsa and Brazilian dance. Serena has trained in New York, Brazil, Los Angeles, Miami, and San Francisco. Currently she performs in local samba and salsa dance companies and teaches dance at the YMCA.

Rob Hilario

A native of San Francisco, Rob discovered the Casino scene in September 2005 on a totally random occurence. A friend of his called him up one night and asked if he wanted to take a salsa class with a bunch of other friends; on a whim, he decided to go. He caught on quickly and has learned a lot in a short three years, but still acknowledges he has much more to learn.

With the least amount of performance experience and dance training among the Salsa Vale Todo members, you'll often see him at various venues six or seven nights a week.

Other interests include Netflix, exercise, general mayhem, and catnaps during his lunch hour at work to make up for all that clubbing.

Aisha Gorson

A second-generation dancer, Aisha grew up immersed in the world of dance. Trained in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz, she found her passion in ethnic dance, studying a wide range of dance styles including Brazilian, Salsa, African, Afro-Haitian, Hip-Hop, Flamenco, and Belly Dance. She has trained in the Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles, Brazil, and Europe, and has currently been teaching and dancing professionally in the Bay Area for over 10 years. Aisha works as a dance educator in Berkeley and San Francisco Public Schools, teaches at The Beat Dance Studio in Berkeley, and performs with local dance and music groups: Salsa Vale Todo, Sambada, and Banda Remelexo.Aisha is available for privates, parties and workshops .Contact her @email:aisha_shanta@yahoo.com,or(510)712-0743.

Ramona Rico

Ramona comes to salsa vale todo with a background primarily in brazilian dance. Originally trained in ballet, tap and jazz, she discovered brazilian dance over ten years ago and began performing professionally in 1997. Her love of salsa developed primarily on the dance floor of local salsa venues. She is excited to be a part of salsa vale todo and enjoy rueda at a performance level. Additional areas of interest and study are afro-cuban folklore and capoeira.

Hans Katzberg

Hans hails from Peru and was introduced to salsa approximately 10 years ago. After training in numerous styles over the years, his
passion for dancing and salsa music is strong as ever. Salsa Vale Todo is his second Rueda de Casino group after performing from 1998-2002 with the Vancouver based Caricias Cubanas. He looks forward to getting to know everyone in the Bay area salsa community and can be reached at :
